I wrote this song in response to having met Paula Kelley, then fronting her band Boy Wonder. She was fierce and brilliant and hilarious. And, if you believed the album Wonder-Wear, very terrifying when wronged. So that’s where the opening lyric comes from! Much of the rest of the song is more about social anxiety, something over which the two of us unconsciously bonded.
