about

I recorded this collection of acoustic versions of songs from Gooicide - and a few obscure covers that I can't post here - live* at Emerson College's Studio C in late 1997. My manager at the time was encouraging me to do more solo shows, to angle myself a bit more as a singer-songwriter. Something I am decidedly not. And on top of that, I was just getting over a case of bronchitis at the time, hence the title. That said, these versions are not without their charms. Sound quality is a little rough so I'm setting a price of $0 but pay if you are so inclined. And if I ever transfer my old DATs I will upgrade these!

* There is one guitar overdub on Waste, cuz it needed that other part.

about

Aaron Tap Los Angeles, California

Aaron Tap is terrible at branding. So he releases shit from both his current band Frank Shirts and, lately, the resurrected Boston trio Betty Goo, and maybe someday even a solo record. There are themes, yeah, but mostly it's whatever spirit moves the music that decides what name it goes by.

Aaron also plays and sings with Matt Nathanson, the Paula Kelley Orchestra, and Populuxe.
