I doubt this record would have come about without Covid-19 and the ensuing shutdowns. Like so many of us, Paula and I were at home for well over a year, rarely leaving even our neighborhood, a situation that probably hasn't been a reality for me since... high school?

What started as a project to put together a set-up whereby I could contentedly perform solo sets (I don't particularly enjoy the singing-with-an-acoustic-guitar thing for my songs) fairly quickly morphed into a morning routine of playing through an array of effect pedals and loopers and just zoning out to the swirling sounds. Eventually, I learned to interact with the sonic robots and these songs were born.

It took some doing to rein in my tendency to get evil with the sounds but I'm happy to report that the other side of these will be arriving soon with the predictable title of Night Songs.

Feel no pressure to actively listen to this record. It's meant to be experienced as background, foreground, or a soundtrack to a flight of fancy. Whatever moves you.
